As a member of the Tea Party, I have waited and waited and waited for the opportunity to have reps representing me in Washington and in the state governments. 2009 was a nightmare when the Democrats had supermajorities in Washington. We marched and the politicians laughed in our faces.

November 2010 brought relief and now the battle is joined. Dems and union reps, sorry. Or should I say, "Sowwy, Chawlie!" You had your day. You showed who you are. You organized and beat up grandma and grandpa at August 2009 townhalls when the American People marched against Obamacare. Remember that? The health care deal that was so wonderful that you decided to claim exemptions and waivers from it for yourselves, but it was fine for the rest of Americans? You showed who you are in California when your teacher's union donated a MILLION DOLLARS to campaign for gay marriage against prop 8. What on Earth does prop 8 have to do with the California teachers union! Just yesterday Dems urged unions to "get a little bloody". Is that the new civility? You should be ashamed!

So forgive me if I look with satisfaction at Governor Scott Walker's determination to strip you of your unfettered access to the government teat. Leaders from 50 Tea Party groups likewise pledge their support to Gov. Scott Walker. We believe that your salaries and benefits need to be brought into line with the private sector. Your collective bargaining power makes it almost impossible to control costs of benefits. You are parasites that are killing the host and We The People are saying ENOUGH!

Indiana has moved legislation limiting union fees. Democrat lawmakers again fled across state lines.

Arizona is passing more rules aimed at protecting their state from parasitic illegals. They even took away the anchor baby rules. Yay. No more 9-month-pregnant Mexican women waddling across the border.

America will be a better place some day, I hope. We can be more competitive when we don't have to pay inflated salaries to union thugs. Then maybe some of our businesses and jobs will come back. Is that so hard to understand? Business is not our enemy. Business is our employer. You and your leftist friends need to stop ruining the economy for the rest of us. Obama's spending spree only deepened the recession into a depression. We will come out of it, but only after gaining control of SPENDING. We must live within our means. That means no more deficit spending. That means budget cuts. DEEP cuts. Get used to it.

A new ballot initiative has been OK'd in California for an immigration law modeled on Arizona's law. Michael Erickson may start gathering signatures in order to get the initiative on the next ballot. He needs 433,971 valid signatures by April 21, 2011.

The proposal makes it a state crime for illegal aliens to seek work while hiding their immigration status, or for employers to “intentionally or negligently” hire an illegal. Also, all highway patrol, police, sheriff’s deputies and other officers will be required to investigate a person’s immigration status if they are “reasonably suspicious” that the person they stopped is in the country illegally. The proposal also allows legal residents to sue officials or agencies if they refuse to carry out immigration enforcement.

The difference with Arizona’s law is that officers would have to contact federal immigration authorities and conduct immigration checks within a “timely manner” and could not hold a person for a long period of time.

Michael Erickson, of Republicans for National Interest is a Tea Party activist in Belmont, CA, and is a former chair of the Sonoma County Republican Party.

The decision to allow a petition drive for this initiative was announced late Tuesday afternoon November 23, 2010 by the California Secretary of State.

This illegal male admits faking a Social Security number and two forms of ID in order to vote in the 2004 election. He perjured himself on the form, claiming to be a U.S. citizen. And now he wants the voter roll purged so that he can get legal citizenship. To this end, he was given a letter by the Department of Homeland Security to give to Debbie Steidl, the administrator of elections for Putnam County, Tennessee, so that his voting record could be purged. What he did was a felony. Am I the only one who's stomach is churning because of this? Is this Obama's end run around the amnesty issue? Simply fail to enforce laws regarding illegals?

And this raises the question. How many illegals will vote in November. And how will we know.

This story goes on to say that 17% of those detained as illegals in Arizona already have criminal records in the United States. Many of them are bad people.

(CNSNews.com) – Pinal County (Ariz.) Sheriff Paul Babeu is hopping mad at the federal government.

Babeu told CNSNews.com that rather than help law enforcement in Arizona stop the hundreds of thousands of people who come into the United States illegally, the federal government is targeting the state and its law enforcement personnel.

“What’s very troubling is the fact that at a time when we in law enforcement and our state need help from the federal government, instead of sending help they put up billboard-size signs warning our citizens to stay out of the desert in my county because of dangerous drug and human smuggling and weapons and bandits and all these other things and then, behind that, they drag us into court with the ACLU,” Babeu said.

The sheriff was referring to the law suits filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and the U.S. Department of Justice challenging the state’s new immigration law.

“So who has partnered with the ACLU?” Babeu said in a telephone interview with CNSNews.com. “It’s the president and (Attorney General) Eric Holder himself. And that’s simply outrageous....
Our own government has become our enemy and is taking us to court at a time when we need help,” Babeu said.

While most of us already know this, the interesting part here is that people are coming out and saying it. If it walks like an enemy and quacks like an enemy, then it IS an enemy. The executive branch of the federal government is failing its constitutional duty to "provide for the common defense". And by siding with the ACLU is actually working AGAINST protecting Americans from foreign invasion and predation by foreign criminals.

In related news, Arizona tourism is UP. Ha!

PHOENIX — The sheriff of Arizona's most populous county is making room in a vast outdoor jail and determined to round up illegal immigrants to fill it. Police from the U.S.-Mexico border to the Grand Canyon are getting last-minute training. And protests and marches are planned throughout Phoenix.
Arizona's new immigration law takes effect Thursday, creating a potentially volatile mix of police, illegal immigrants and thousands of activists, many planning to show up without identification as a show of solidarity.
At least one group plans to block access to federal offices, daring officers to ask them their immigration status.
"Our message for that day is: 'Don't comply, don't buy,'" said activist Liz Hourican, whose group, CodePink, plans to block the driveway for immigration offices in downtown Phoenix.

Apparently I attended a rally against illegal immigrants on Saturday. Yes, I was there at the Tea Party for several hours, live-blogging. Yes, I listened to ALL of the speakers carefully, and they spoke about many topics, including illegal immigration. And NO, Tea Party people do not want to throw open America's doors to any and all illegals. We want a common sense immigration policy that controls the borders FIRST then allows legal immigrants in at a pace that does not bankrupt our once-great nation.

It wasn't until Donald Douglas at American Power Blog emailed me the OC Register story on the Tea Party that I saw that the reporter had reported that "Hundreds Rally Against Illegal Immigrants", featuring a picture that included me in the lower right-hand corner. Huh.

Can someone explain to me why Erika Ritchie, who was not there for the ENTIRE event, reported on such a narrow topic, and pretended that it was the entirety of what the Tea Party was about? Is this all about getting a sensational story on the OC Register website and racking up comments/hits?  Or is she trying to smear the Tea Party?  Why did she not even mention the Tea Party aspect?  There were signs everywhere and quotes from our nation's founders.  Look at the coverage on American Power Blog. Donald Douglas shows the wide variety of issues that were discussed.

Working with local community and faith-based groups, the Census Bureau has hired local outreach officers to market the census to their own communities in the native languages.
That effort appears to have made headway among minority and immigrant communities, but continues to be hampered by federal immigration enforcement.
"As a Spanish bilingual the biggest challenge was the raids," said Beatriz Fernandez, who conducted outreach efforts in Santa Ana. "People would ask, 'Are you giving our information to Homeland Security? Is someone going to come knock on our door if I give you my information?'"
ICE's latest raid in Santa Ana came last Sunday, according to Fernandez, further fueling fears that arrests would continue and heightening suspicion toward the federal government.

This is interesting. I had an idea that a number of illegal aliens fleeing the Arizona law have come to southern California, based on my experience at local parks. They are full to bursting on the weekends. And you need to habla espanol to fit in. The OC Register story went on to say that Democrat administrations feel the need to put up a show of enforcement because they are viewed as being soft on illegal immigration. And there was money allocated to ICE, which now feels the need to "fill beds".

Funny. I don't hear Mexico apologizing for enforcing their immigration laws.

This woman is amazing. She speaks about her lawful immigration to the United States and wonders why people don't want to enforce the laws of our sovereign country.
