While doing some recent research on freshly-sentenced crook Kwame Kilpatrick I wanted to see the mayor's mansion... and what kind of ghettos surrounded it. This is often the case with luxurious, historical homes on the Detroit lakeshore built by titans of industry almost a century ago... back when the whole surrounding area was nice.

The official residence of the Mayor of the Detroit is the city-owned Manoogian Mansion. It's really impressive.... like for a governor or head of state, and the current Detroit mayor has actually chosen to not live there due to image problems while the city is imploding.

But now-convicted ex-mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was not saddled by modesty, morality, or even good taste... and is said to have had a fratboy-style stripper party upon election, then allegedly his wife walked in and  attacked the girl giving the good mayor a lap-dance.

Later, this same stripper shows up assassinated in a targeted drive-by by the same .40 caliber weapon issued to the DPD.... and subsequently all Detroit Police investigations are thwarted internally. Looks like Kwame Kilpatrick's legal problems are far from over, but the feds might have to get off their duffs.

So looking on Google Street View just a couple blocks away from the mansion it's a complete toilet, of course-  and just think, all we have to do is pass Obama's card-check bill and the whole country can look like this:

Abandoned houses and scruffy empty lots everywhere...and this takes the cake: I even found a mugging in-progress... can you believe it, looks like he's shaking down some poor drunk:

Good luck

Former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was handed up to 5 long years for violating terms of his probation... ending yet another dark chapter in the sad history of crumbling Detroit.

The judge appeared to give no weight to Kilpatrick’s lengthy and emotional court oration, in which he apologized for his lies in the text-message scandal, but said he is a different and better person today.

As Kilpatrick spoke, the judge mostly looked at papers on his desk.

"Probation is no longer an option," Groner said when Kilpatrick had finished. "That ship has sailed."

Kilpatrick, the judge said, had shown a lack of candor, remorse, humility and forthrightness, during the course of the on-again, off-again restitution hearing, which plodded on for roughly a year.

In a trial where the race card was played with abandon, the facts spoke for themselves... Kwame Kilpatrick lied under oath after-all... and it appears justice is being served. His spokesman likened the sentencing to "apartheid"- whatever
